Delta to offer eclipse viewing at 30,000 feet

Watch the total solar eclipse from 30,000 feet into the air

Austin, Texas – Are you making plans to watch April’s total solar eclipse? If so, Delta Air Lines may have an option for you.

On April 8th, Delta Air Lines will be offering a flight from Austin, Texas, to Detroit, Michigan, to provide an unimaginable experience viewing the solar eclipse from 30,000 feet in the air. The plane that Delta would be using for this special flight is the A220-300, a larger model of the A220 plane with bigger windows. The size of these planes’ windows will come in handy for passengers to have a better view of the eclipses.

The plane will be timed to give passengers the best viewing experience possible. The plane will depart Austin at 12:15 central time and land in Detroit at 4:20pm eastern time.

If you are not in Austin, there are five other flights from other cities that will help you catch the eclipse as well.
